The Hourglass of the Reaperman

I saw them all,
Saw them standing there,
When the clouds of destiny where rushing over the land,
As the time of chaos drew near,
It was so utterly clear,
That the Hourglass,
OF THE REAPERMAN,
was standing still,
Mankind taking the last pill!

I couldn't help myself and started to laugh,
At all the lies told to the kids,
At all the honesty of a modern folk, that wasn't anymore,
At the poems of fallen angels, that spoke of times long forgotten,
At all the shit, all the problems, all the things they and I had endured,
Because I knew,
That the Hourglass,
OF THE REAPERMAN,
was draining out our time of life,
the sand beginning to disappear,
as death finally was so near.

When time is right,
When the Reapermans deadly grin is shining bright,
The Hourglass of the Reaperman is approching your time of death,
Than you only can hang on to your faith!

I had nothing to believe,
I was forgotten, in time,
I was the lonely thief,
Searching for company,
So I took my finally leave,
Because you know:

When time is right,
When the Reapermans deadly grin is shining bright,
The Hourglass of the Reaperman is approching your time of death,
Than you only can hang on to your faith!

And now I know who I wanted to beat,
I knew that Reaperman was a man, not easy to cheat!
He materialized right before my eyes,
Whispering deadly lies!

He said I had no chance left,
Because the Hourglass,
OF THE REAPERMAN,
Told him, that the end was near,
That the sand was beginning to disappear!

I said no, never, not now,
He laughed,
He whispered more about the thing from the other side,
And there was nothing bhind I could try to hide!

So I said, take me to where you go,
Show me the dirty human zoo,
Give me all the truth about life and death,
Tell me if there is any place where I can do my latest breath!

So the Hourglass in his hand was shining bright,
Coming from somewhere the deadly light,
That took me away, the missery too,
And he was dancing the hoochie coo!

When time is right,
When the Reapermans deadly grin is shining bright,
The Hourglass of the Reaperman is approching your time of death,
Than you only can hang on to your faith!
